Wet Paint Systems

Kuntz has been applying specialized corrosion resistant coatings to products such as wheels and bumpers for many years. This not only increases the corrosion protection of the part in the field it also helps reduce the complexity of the auxiliary anodes required to plate the part resulting in significant cost savings. These coatings are a major contributor to our zero warranty return goal.

  1. Our automated paint systems are water-based paints. That means that after the paint is applied to the part the part is baked through an infrared oven to initiate the curing of the paint.

  2. Our paint systems do not require the typical VOC allocations from the EPA in order to cure the coating in the oven. The water borne paint does not emit VOC’s during their cure cycle in the oven.

  3. By adding the ability to mask and paint allows us to apply paint to a selected area of the chrome part while protecting the remaining area of the part. This can offer the ability to provide color accents to a chrome plated part.

  4. Clear coats, tinted clear coats, and specialized colored coatings over nickel-chrome provide a variety of finishing options for functional and cosmetic requirements.
