Our experience is often needed and solicited to assist in the design phase to optimize part performance and to ensure that all finishing criteria can be met to specification. Our dedicated Product Managers and Quality Engineers will work with your designers and studios to ensure the desired quality levels are met. We may also design parts ourselves to fit any application. The design for manufacturability discipline coupled with specific design tools has enabled Kuntz to:
- Optimize the cost and manufacturability of a part by reducing the process scrap during the manufacturing of the part.
- Ensure that the proper plating thickness is achieved so that maximum performance can be expected in the field.
- Provide the Customer with specific requirements for both auxiliary anode and rack tooling design based on the parts projected current density.
- The use of sophisticated software to imitate offline plating thicknesses allows Kuntz to eliminate the trial and error process approach of developing auxiliary and rack tooling. This in turn allows for compression of the development time line and significant tooling cost savings.
